Dan Onorato's gubernatorial campaign -- which has been the money leader among all candidates, Republican and Democrat -- announced today that it raised almost $1 million the first three months of the year. It ended the reporting period with only $200,000 more than it had in January, so it's clear the county exec's campaign is also spending at a good clip.

The money advantage helped the campaign start its television advertising yesterday before any other campaign. The numbers that Team Onorato released were final as of Monday, so it's not clear if its Tuesday ad spending will show up in the full report when it's released next week.

From the campaign:

Dan Onorato's campaign announced it has raised $9.034 million with $6.7 million cash-on-hand available at the end of March 2010.
. . . Onorato for Governor will file its first quarter numbers on April 6, 2010, showing $6,741,326 cash-on-hand.  Onorato has raised $909,271 between January 1 and March 29, 2010.
