Speaking of those congressional endorsements, Johnstown Democrat Mark Critz has picked up another in the PA12 race, this time in rival Jason Altmire's backyard of Beaver County.

Last night, the Beaver-Lawrence Central Labor Council voted to recommend that the Pennsylvania AFL-CIO endorse Congressman Mark Critz in the race for the 12th Congressional District. All four labor councils within the 12th Congressional District have now voted to recommend endorsement of Critz. Labor Council President Rick Galiano praised Critz's record of fighting to create jobs and standing up for the middle class.
"The Beaver-Lawrence Central Labor Council recommends that the Pennsylvania AFL-CIO endorse Mark Critz for Congress because we know that workers can count on him to stand up for them," Galiano said. "Mark Critz made creating and protecting jobs his top priority in Congress and he has consistently fought to make sure that China plays by the same rules as we do."
"I am grateful to receive the backing of the Beaver-Lawrence Central Labor Council," Critz said. "The fact that the two labor councils in my opponent's current Congressional District are supporting me demonstrates that I have the strongest record of fighting to create jobs and standing up for working men and women."
