Cook Political Report weighs in on the (growing nasty) Jason Altmire petition challenge, noting that that Critz CM Mike Mikus used to work for Altmire:

Critz's Challenge to Altmire's Petitions Roils PA-12 Primary

February 23, 2012
House Editor David Wasserman writes: While it's not unusual for minor candidates to get thrown off ballots for faulty petitions, insiders close to the situation in PA-12 believe Democratic Rep. Mark Critz's challenge to fellow Democratic Rep. Jason Altmire's petitions is very serious and has the potential to upend their late April primary showdown. Critz, who occupies only a small corner of the merged seat and has trailed Altmire in both sides' early polling, is challenging Altmire's 1,651 petitions on the grounds that an out-of-district staffer illegally collected 385 of them and that others were forged, potentially leaving him short of the 1,000 necessary. A smart local observer notes that this petition challenge wouldn't have been laid down were it not for the fact that Critz's lead consultant is Altmire's former 2008 manager and "knows his practices."
